Cathy Cole is a novelist and award-winning short story writer and poet from Northern Ireland. In 2018, Cathy’s first-ever attempt at a poem was accepted by the Community Arts Project for their anthology Resonance, and her second - a Haibun - published in The Trees of Kilbroney (Light 2000), was nominated for the 2019 Pushcart Prize.

Cathy’s debut novel Where There's Smoke was published in March 2017 by Fireborn Publishing - later, self-published (2019). She has just finished her next novel The Hungry Ghost, which won the Owned Novel Award 2021.

Cathy is currently working on her third novel, titled Legacy - The Beginning, which she hopes will be the first in a series based in Belfast.
